Tarlac State University's Belen ng Karunungan landed second place in the 15th Belenismo sa Tarlac under the Community Category.

The award was personally handed out by the Tarlac Heritage Foundation's co-founder Dr. Isa Cojuangco Suntay earlier tonight (December 3) at the site of TSU's Belen display.

This is the university's first time joining the said competition.

In an interview, TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco thanked the offices and personnel involved in the creation of the award-winning Belen.

"Nagpapasalamat ako sa chance na ito. It's our first time to participate in this Belenismo and first time pa lang pero second [place] na agad. Of course, I want to thank lahat ng mga tao na tumulong. Hindi naman magiging possible ito kung walang pagkakaisa," Pres. Velasco said.

"At magpapatuloy lang tayo magkakaisa and I am very sure sa next na Belenismo makukuha na natin 'yung first. Walang imposible sa nagkakaisang TSU," he added.

Vice presidents Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg and Dr. Grace N. Rosete also graced the awarding ceremony.

Office of Public Affairs Director Prof. Jazzel Llaneli M. Manabat received the award on behalf of TSU.
