The said event themed “Sining ng Pag-asa” was organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services through the Culture and Arts Unit headed by Prof. Marcelino Balanquit.

The first part of the program featured students’ entries in the five categories: Charcoal Rendering, Pencil Drawing, Painting, Poster Making, and Photography.

Meanwhile, for the second half of the event, Prof. Balanquit awarded certificates of recognition to 21 student-representatives of the university who were named champions in various categories of CAASUC III Virtual Regional Showcase of Talents 2021.

In a message, Prof. Balanquit stated that he is thankful for the annual celebration of the National Arts Month because it serves as a way to showcase different talents as well as the country’s culture, tradition, and arts.

Presidential Proclamation No. 683, promulgated by then President Corazon C. Aquino, declares February of every year as National Arts Month to celebrate artistic excellence and pay tribute to the Filipino heritage and culture’s uniqueness and diversity.
