Tarlac State University's School of Law (SOL) continues its commitment to providing accessible and free legal services to the community through a partnership with the City Government of Tarlac.

A memorandum of agreement was inked between TSU and the Tarlac City LGU on November 13, 2023, at the Kaisa Convention Hall, which assures the city's indigent residents of free legal advising through the Angel Care Program of Mayor Maria Cristina Angeles and the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) of the SOL.

Through this partnership, qualified law students under the Marc Andrei Marcos Legal Aid Center (MAMLAC), the legal aid clinic of TSU-SOL, will serve clients as "law student practitioners" under the supervision of practicing lawyers.

This partnership materialized through the collaborative efforts of Mayor Angeles and SOL Dean Dr. Jose I. de la Rama Jr., both of whom were present during the MOA signing.

Atty. Joselito C. Castro, Tarlac City Administrator and Legal Officer, and TSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg also attended the event.

The MAMLAC is open every Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the 3rd floor of the TSU SOL building. (jlmm/madc-OPA)
