To ensure that employees will consistently secure their monthly contribution, Tarlac State University and Social Security System (SSS) Tarlac Branch entered a memorandum of agreement on Wednesday (April 19) at the Main AVR, TSU Main Campus.

The agreement stipulates that the monthly contribution of TSU employees would be directly remitted to SSS from their salary to avoid failure of contribution settlement.

In her message, SSS Tarlac Branch Head II Dr. Maria Maxima C. Macaraeg highlighted the importance of the partnership to better serve the TSU workforce.

“In SSS, we have a lot of benefits to offer because SSS is an institution that promises an equitable benefit for everyone. There is no rich; there is no poor. SSS commits our great service to the Tarlac State University, and we are now committing this with you today," she said.

Meanwhile, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Grace N. Rosete affirmed that the partnership would help the employees maintain their contribution to experience the full benefits of the government body when the need arises.

“All employees of Tarlac State University, including the job orders, permanent, contractual, lahat na po direct. Pwede na po tayo magpa-deduct sa payroll section and automatically mare-remit na po sa SSS and that is a big help. Ito po is a very good partnership between TSU and SSS. After this MOA, i-apply na po natin kaagad ito para po mapakinabangan na po ng karamihan," she said.

Moreover, TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco expressed his gratitude to the officials of SSS and OVPAF for their efforts in making the agreement possible.

This partnership shall take effect upon the signing of the parties. (jlmm-OPA)
