TSUian collegiate and high school swimmers bring home medals from different sports meets

The Tarlac State University collegiate swimming team and two TSU Laboratory School swimmers bagged medals in two swim meets last February 11, 2023. 

The collegiate Firefox swimming team won eight gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals in the 91st Central Northern Luzon Cordillera Swimming Coaches Association (CNLCSCA) Invitational Swim Series and 71st Swim League Series Luzon Qualifiers at the New Clark City Aquatic Center in Capas, Tarlac.  

Mary Elizabeth Dytuco garnered the highest number of medals in the team consisting of two golds, three silvers, and one bronze. She was also named the most outstanding swimmer in the swim series. 

Moreover, Allen Christian Apostol took home two golds and one bronze, Jason Levy Manzano won one gold, and Angela Salonga contributed three golds and one silver to the team. 

They will represent the university in the State Universities and Colleges Region III Olympics (SCUAA III) this February 19-25, 2023, at Tarlac Agricultural University in Camiling, Tarlac. 

Meanwhile, LSians Zachi Ysabelle Jacob and Maykenshei Summer Timbol proved their swimming prowess in the Tarlac City Athletics Meet 2023 at the Tarlac Recreational Park in San Jose, Tarlac. 

Jacob is the gold medalist in the 200-meter breaststroke category. She will soon compete in the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet as one of the representatives of Tarlac City. 

On the other hand, Timbol won a silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle category and a bronze medal in the 50-meter butterfly category.
