TSU Performing Arts Dance Troupe sustains international recognitions

The Tarlac State University Performing Arts Dance Troupe was awarded three "Excellence" trophies and reaped other recognitions during the 19th Thailand International Folklore Festival held in Chantaburi, Korat, Surin Province in Thailand on October 19-26, 2022.

The Tarlac State University Performing Arts Dance Troupe was awarded three "Excellence" trophies and reaped other recognitions during the 19th Thailand International Folklore Festival held in Chantaburi, Korat, Surin Province in Thailand on October 19-26, 2022.

The group received trophies for their "Spectacular Costume during the Performance," "Manifesting Careful and Elegant Performance," and "International Leadership with Crow Spirit," corresponding to leadership in international activities beyond the pandemic.

Moreover, Culture and Arts head Prof. Marcelino Balanquit is a recipient of the Diamond of Asia Award for his achievements in international culture and arts activities and was named "World Peace Declarer" through international folklore activities.

Prof. Balanquit and the Performing Arts Dance Troupe also received the Thailand IFF pin in international folklore performances.

The Thailand IFF featured 719 international artist-delegates hailing from 24 countries: Philippines, Thailand, Albania, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hungary, Italy, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Peru, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.
