For its second year, the Economic Enterprise Development (EED) Unit of the Student Welfare Services and the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) Student Council conducted the Entrepreneurial Skills Seminar Workshop Series today (November 25) at the third floor conference room of the Student Center in Lucinda Campus.

The workshop is a preparation and coaching for students in the university-wide Economic and Financial Literacy (EFL) Week titled "BRIDGES: Better Road in Developing Good Entrepreneurial Spirit" from November 28 to December 2.

Students from different colleges attended the interactive sessions led by CBA faculty members, covering the topics of entrepreneurial mind-setting, marketing-centeredness, forecasting, basic income statements, and negotiating skills.

EED Unit Head Assoc. Prof. Sheila Jane L. Gonzales welcomed the students and encouraged them to participate in the entrepreneurship competition set to commence next week.

In separate video messages, local officials Governor Susan A. Yap and Tarlac City Vice Mayor Genaro M. Mendoza expressed their support for the TSU community's entrepreneurial endeavors.

Gov. Yap emphasized the importance of cultivating youth’s economic and financial literacy.

"As we work in making Tarlac an investment hub in Central Luzon through our projects, initiatives, and partnerships here and abroad, I want you to know that we are waiting for you to be a part of this endeavor of making our province a place for business growth and economic prosperity... Let this week be a stepping stone towards a brighter future for yourselves in our community," she said.

The seminar-workshop series will continue on the last day of the EFL Week on December 2. (jlmm-OPA)
